I haven't seen this exercise anywhere else, so I thought I share this. If you want to improve your ankle mobility for deeper squats or prevent running injuries, release your shin (tibialis anterior) makes a big difference. Tibialis anterior are quite sensitive for most people, so you're better off using softer rubber balls than plastic peanuts or lacrosse balls.
